Current Projects

Our research is mainly concerned with distributed (operating) systems. In particular we concentrate on distributed data management and especially on consistency and fault tolerance. Currently, we are developing a In-Memory Data management service for Clouds: ECRAM (Elastic Cooperative RAM). ECRAM is designed to manage distributed states of MMVEs with a massive scale of interactive users, provide a distributed cache for web applications, and also an in-memory storage for data intensive applications like for example MapReduce and bioinformatics applications.

iAM
(Interactive Augmented Microscopy)
Started in 2011

ECRAM
(Elastic Cooperative RAM)

Wissenheim (MMVE application)
Cooperation with University of Ulm, since 2004.
